Day 18: Lusaka

We spent all day at NMEC preparing for the workshop. Jason was keen to get the nanopore working so did some preliminary work to run PCRs and prepare DNA for the machines.

We worked long into the night. So long in fact, that the guard had left for the night by the time we wanted to leave and we were locked into the compound. Not wanting to walk back in the dark, we fortunately had our sleeping bags on the top of the car, so we bedded down in the seminar room for the night...
